JUVÉDERM®
Restore volume. Refine contour. Soften the look of lines—while keeping your features unmistakably yours. JUVÉDERM® is a collection of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to enhance lips, smooth certain facial lines, and restore youthful-looking fullness with immediate, natural-looking results.
Many hyaluronic acid fillers are designed to be temporary and often last around 6–12 months, depending on the product, area treated, and your metabolism.
Note: This page is educational and not medical advice. Not all fillers are appropriate for every patient. A consultation is the safest way to choose the right product and plan.
Where JUVÉDERM® shines
Dermal fillers are often used to restore fullness and refine features as skin naturally loses volume over time. Your plan is designed around facial balance—so results look elegant, not overdone.
- Lip enhancementSubtle, hydrated-looking volume and shape refinement—with proportions tailored to you.
- Smile lines & foldsSoftens the appearance of certain lines around the nose and mouth when volume loss contributes.
- Cheek supportRestores mid-face fullness for a more lifted, refreshed contour.
- Chin & lower-face balanceCan improve overall profile harmony when indicated by anatomy and goals.
- Scar appearance (select cases)Some recessed scars can appear less noticeable when volume is restored appropriately.
JUVÉDERM® includes multiple formulas designed for different goals (lips vs lines vs cheeks). Your consultation determines the best match for your anatomy, goals, and safety profile.
Refinement through hyaluronic acid volume
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in skin and connective tissue. In dermal fillers, it’s formulated as a gel that can add volume, support contour, and help soften the appearance of lines—especially where volume loss is a key contributor.
Many patients notice visible improvement right away, with refinement as swelling settles.
Injections are typically performed in a short visit, with comfort measures discussed as needed.
Longevity varies. Many HA fillers are temporary and often last months; your plan is tailored to your goals.
Safety, side effects & choosing the right provider
Most side effects (like swelling and bruising) are temporary, but all dermal fillers carry risks. The FDA advises working with an experienced, licensed provider and reviewing risks and benefits before treatment. Rare but serious complications can occur if filler is inadvertently injected into a blood vessel.
Swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness, and firmness can occur and typically resolve within days to weeks.
Nodules, infection, allergic reaction, or delayed inflammation may occur and can require treatment.
Accidental injection into a vessel can cause serious complications. Your provider should be trained to manage complications.
